The board protects the mission and helps New Beginnings remain accountable to residents, families, referral partners, supporters, and the wider Pittsburgh community.

    Keep the organization focused on safe, accountable recovery housing and the long-term needs of the people and communities it serves.

  2. Ethical and legal oversight

    Provide nonprofit oversight, protect the organization’s purpose, and support compliance with applicable public responsibilities.

  3. Financial stewardship

    Exercise care over the organization’s resources so they continue to support stable homes and responsible operations.

  4. Organizational accountability

    Provide perspective and oversight while organizational leadership manages the day-to-day work of New Beginnings.
